Incredible seafood caught fresh daily. They were so nice. Paul Schaefer whose grandfather started it gave us a private tour and explanation of the entire process. He had his mother custom fry some oysters in their special batter for us to try. An amazing and very special cajun experience.

The best seafood. The most caring and friendly family. Simply amazing. This is my go to spot for raw seafood. I get my oysters by the sack, crabs by the hamper, crawfish by the sack, and shrimp by the pound from here. It's always fresh and delicious. The owners will always go the extra mile and get you the right products. They regularly open earlier or later to accommodate my schedule to pick up. They're just the best. I've never had a bad experience.

This is the best place in town to pick up boiled seafood (it's to-go only, no tables for dining in). They have a great selection of other goodies too, from boudin and potato salad, to stuffed artichokes and seafood soups from the refrigerated section. Their crawfish are always clean and seasoned to perfection. I go for the slightly discounted cash price per lb., and they also offer a discount on larger orders. Take a number when you walk in, and be prepared to order when you get to the counter, as they're always pretty busy!

I’ve been coming down from Georgia to work in Louisiana for about 10 years. I usually bring back coolers of seafood. I gotta say that Schaefer’s is the best I’ve found…from Sulphur to New Orleans. They are super helpful and they’re prices are great. I’m gonna say something that many haven’t, but their crab cakes are the best I’ve ever had! Never had a bad experience at this place, and I highly recommend. Will continue to drive to Bucktown because I know it is fresh and I’ll be taken care of!

We were hoping to bring some seafood home by flight. Turns out they use gel packs to keep seafood cold and gel pack is not allow carryon. So I got some boiled shrimp and corns…. Love the corn, shrimp is to salty… but it could just be me.

Great customer service! Had shrimp and crawfish sent to some family and they were so accommodating and helpful. They explained how it all worked, the cost with going with Southwest vs FedEx, and what was cheaper. I believe the prices vary depending on the season, so that's why I didn't post the pricing, but they have three different sizes of shrimp. Everyone was super polite and helpful.
